You HAVE TO be able to use the computer to do more than just surf the internet.  You must have an active email account which is enabled to receive attachments and access to the internet and you must be adept at using it.    You must be able to open and view attachments in Microsoft Word and in PowerPoint.  You must know how to disable popup blockers, convert files from one format to another, be able to type web addresses into a browser, and copy and paste content into an email. So, if you want the option of 'self study online'..............You must have these skills BEFORE you enroll.    Local libraries and adult learning centers offer all types of computer courses.  Take one if you need to before you enroll.   It is probably not a good idea to run out and buy your first computer and attempt to learn it while doing this course.   All course content is given to you and sent via email attachment.  We do not and will not mail coursework (that costs money which then raises the cost of the course).  You may print the material for your own use.

Modules come in Powerpoint format.  You have to have a Powerpoint reader on your computer.  You do not have to do any work in Powerpoint.  You simply open it and read OR you can print it in outline format and read it as a book.  We recommend using outline format for printing so you don't get slide format with tons of color ink usage.

Papers can be done in any word processing format or inside an email.
