Medical Terminology

This course is an independent study, online, work at your own pace.   You will receive a certificate of completion, if you pass the final examination, for 80 contact hours.   If you are planning to take the Medical Coding Course for national certification, medical terminology and anatomy are required before you can enroll.  

We have partnered with Elsevier Publishers, the big name in healthcare education, and the same products used by most colleges.   You must first pay the course tuition to the school, THEN PayPal will return you to this site and you MUST order your book/materials directly from the publisher through our bookstore.  

Course materials will come directly from the publisher to the shipping address you provide.  They should arrive within 10 business days.   In your course materials are very clear instructions on how to use the course and the Elsevier website.  It will ask for an 'access code', which is provided to you by us, after we confirm payment of the tuition. 

**Please note:  Many colleges do have an option to challenge credit courses by exam.  It is usually not advertised, and it is up to the individual department head to decide if they feel you have studied equivalent material.   Credit courses for Medical Terminology are usually offered by community colleges and range from 1 - 3 credits.
